Common questions
Where is my data stored?
On your device and, if you're signed in to iCloud, in your own private iCloud database so it
syncs to your other devices. There are no accounts, and we can't read any of it. The one
exception is a baby shower wish list: if you publish one, the items you pick go to a page we
host so guests can open it, and taking the list down deletes it. Details in the
Privacy Policy.
Who can see my baby shower wish list?
Anyone you send the link to — it opens in any browser, with no app and no account. The link
code is random and the page isn't indexed by search engines, so nobody finds it by browsing,
and you can set a password guests have to type. Prices, stores, and your own notes are never
published. Take the list down in the app and the link stops working immediately — but deleting
the app on its own won't take it down, so unpublish first.
How do I change my due date or switch to "Baby's here"?
Tap your profile picture (top left) → the Baby section → update the status or date. Your
changes save when you tap Done, and the timeline regenerates around the new date; anything
you've checked off stays checked.
Reminders aren't arriving.
Check Settings → Notifications → GYST Baby on your device, then in the app open your profile →
"Re-sync all reminders."
How do I erase everything?
Profile → "Erase all data." That permanently removes your plan from the device (and, if iCloud
sync is on, from your private iCloud copy). If you have a wish list published, erasing takes it
down first and the guest link stops working. There's no undo.
Is GYST Baby medical advice?
No. GYST Baby is an educational organizer built on commonly published U.S. guidance (ACOG, AAP,
CDC). Always confirm anything health-related with your own providers — they know you and your
baby best. See the full Medical & Safety Disclaimer.
